About

Hey! I Am Chandrani & Welcome To My Travel Blog!

I am a part-time travel content creator and full-time photographer. I share in-depth travel guides so that you can plan the perfect trip while also saving your energy and money. I am so glad you are here!

We often hear life takes unpredictable turns. Well, it certainly did for me!

From being a statistics honours graduate to an IT professional, from being an MBA in finance to becoming a wedding and kids photographer, the one thing that has remained constant through all this is my love for travel. When I am not on an assignment or buried in my laptop, you’ll find me chasing gorgeous sunsets and breathtaking waterfalls!

There are so many places to see and at 20-something I am only just getting started. I want to explore and photograph every corner of our beautiful planet, and most importantly, without burning a hole in my pocket. So come on board and join me in this adventure!

How And When Did It All Begin?

Fortunately for me, my family also shares my love for travel. So I first hit the road when I was just a few months old!
We always did atleast one trip every year since as long as I can remember. I learned yoga as a child and represented my state in the zonals and nationals every year. The competitions would take place in different states each time and after the team returned, we always stayed back and visited a few places in that state. After I left yoga and me & my brother finished school, we began travelling more as a family. I also started travelling with friends in the last few years. Now I travel with my husband as well, who is the talent behind most of my recent photos!

What Made Me Think Of Starting This Blog?

I started this blog as a travel journal for myself. I am a really meticulous planner and I gather a lot of information about a place before travelling there. But I’m also very forgetful and an expert at losing stuff! I went to Tadoba National Park a few years back with my family and collected loads of information related to bookings, core areas in the forest, safari charges for each zone and lots more. This was also our first time seeing a Royal Bengal tiger upclose after trying our luck in various other national parks for years! So I really wanted to pen down this experience and also dump all the information someplace where I could find it later. That’s when I thought of starting a blog! And since then I have been trying to document all my trips here as best as I can.

Our Travel Style

Although I personally love backpacking at times & we would definitely want to travel luxury some day, our travel style currently lies somewhere in the middle. I would describe it as ‘comfort in a budget’. We usually love staying in nice budget hotels with a gorgeous view and good food but a warm homestay in a remote village serving local food also gets me equally excited! We love checking out popular places, exploring hidden gems and getting lost taking the lesser known path. We enjoy watching the sunrise in the mountains, sunset at the beach, the thrill of wildlife safari, dipping in natural pools, eating at beautiful cafes,  trying out local street food and shopping for souvenirs wherever we go.
